About Us
The Stem Stitch is a certified 501(3)(c) nonprofit organization promoting social justice in STEM. Specifically, TSS focuses on bringing unique and accessible opportunities in STEM and education to communities worldwide. We have reached over a thousand individuals from over four countries and have established research and fellowship initiatives for high school students.
Our Story
Founded in early 2023 by a resilient student, The Stem Stitch was born out of a need for resources and opportunities for students who had been left behind in STEM. Despite facing challenges such as low science and math scores, our founder refused to give up and instead chose to self-study and acquire valuable research skills and coding languages without previous knowledge. Through this perseverance, she eventually became a respected leader in her community, which led her to establish her nonprofit to give students like her an opportunity to shine in science.
